A Flew method is proposed to prepare iron oxide supported on silica pillared phosphates with high surface alias by impregnating iron species on the precursor of silica pillared zirconium phosphates (APS-ZrP).
Compared with samples made by conventional method, samples prepared by the flew method have much larger surface area and pore volumes. The results of X-ray diffraction and temperature programmed reduction indicate that the samples obtained by this new method have better Fe203 dispersion than those obtained by conventional method and the dispersion threshold is 0.259 Fe2O3/g(siO2-ZrP). The pillared materials obtained by the new method show good activities in dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene.
