Study on Silver loaded Zirconium Phosphate Modified by Oleamide PE Antibacterial Film

Antibacterial master batch and antibacterial PE film were prepared by taking oleamide as modifier. Silver-loaded Zirconium phosphate as antibacterial agent and LLDPE as carrier resin. The modified effect of silver loaded zirconium phosphate was analyzed by FT-IR and hygroscopic property test. The dispersion of silver—loaded zirconium phosphate in PE matrix was characterized by SEM. The mechanical properties, transmittance, air permeability and antibacterial property of the film were also tested. The results show that:the hydrophobic property and dispersion of silver—loaded zirconium phosphate in matrix are excellent due to the modification of oleamide; with the addition of 5% antibacterial master batch the longitudinal tensile strength and transversal rectangular tear strength of PE film decrease slightly, the elongation at break, transversal tensile strength, longitudinal rectangular tear strength increase, the transmittance decreases by 3.4%, the air permeability increases 30.18%, the antibacterial rate is up to 99%.
