ZrP Used in Ceramic

Zirconium phosphate has the characteristics of low thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, high strength, and chemical satbility. Altought the inner structure of pure zirconium phosphate is stable under 1600 ℃, it is not easy to sintering. So the zirconium phosphate sintering shoule be controlled lower than 1600 ℃ by adding ZnO, MgO, Nb2P5, Ta2O5, TiO2 etc. For example, the zirconium phosphate’s ruputure strength is only 50 Mpa when it is sintering under 1600 ℃ for 30 minutes.
