Zirconium Hydrogen phosphate /Nafion 115 composite membrane was prepared and characterized by means of XRD,IEC,SEM,IR and so on.
The methanol permeability through the composite membrane reduced significantly.
The single cell with composite membrane delivered better performance when it was fed with concentrated methanol solution at 75℃.
The durability test of single cell with composite membrance indicate that it can stably run for 100 hours above 0.4V.
Results and discussion
Conclusion
The results show that methanol permeability through the zirconium hydrogen phosphate / Nafion 115 composite membrane reduced significantly.
The single cell with composite membrane delivered better performance when it was fed with High concentrated methanol solution at 10 mol/ L with the peak power of 76.19mw/cm2, higher than Nafion 1155 composite membrane with the peak power (41.65 mW/cm2).
In addition, it can long-term stable operation in DMFC.
